St Thomas’ Church, Market Street Stourbridge 7:30pm – 9:00pm
Cost: £7 (RSCM members) £10 (non-members)
A cantor leads the worshipping community in sung prayer, developing as a solo singer, facilitating congregational singing. This can take place in almost any setting where music is already used, or out of necessity when no choir or organist is available to lead. If you are already a cantor, a talented solo singer, or have little previous music leadership experience and would like to develop cantor skills, this workshop will help you understand the ministry of the cantor, explore the repertoire, and feel more confident encouraging others to raise their voices in praise.
We warmly invite you to join Frances Novillo, RSCM Regional Music Adviser (South East), and members of the Worcester Diocese ALM Music Ministry course. Clergy and lay people; RSCM members and non-members are welcome to join us.
