Congratulations

To Trevor Tipple on the award of an MBE for services to church music in Worcestershire, as announced in the New Year’s Honours. He has been Director of Music at St. Martin’s, London Road for 47 years, taught at New College (formerly RNIB) for 18 years and is well respected for his work as an organ builder.

Also to David Iliff on the conferment of ARSCM by our Council, this is in recognition of his outstanding editorial and type-setting work on photocopiable resources. He has just retired from Malvern Priory, concluding a 50-year career directing music in churches.

Both have been active members of our Area Committee and have made considerable contributions of both time and talents.

Over the past year there have been significant changes in the Royal School of Church Music at both national and local level.
